HAYLO FARM........... Imagine driving through the soft rolling hills of northern Illinois as the sun is setting in the west, and as you top one of those hills in your truck you look off and see a farm type setting with a long lane nestled in the hills surrounded by green pastures sprinkled with Paint horses and Longhorn cattle. It truly is a piece of heaven and we get to live everyday.

Over the past 17 years there have been changes here at Haylo Farm but one thing that has remained the same is our commitment to our Paint / Pinto horse breeding program. The popularity of the farms young stock has been very good to us, thank you to all whom have made it possible. We hope to keep the tradition going for many years to come.

One area that has changed is our services, as we have been asked over the years to expand on training, showing, fitting, and lessons. With the February 2005 completion of our 23 stall heated facility and indoor arena we are able to meet your request. Our facility.

We invite you to experience our farm,  join us for a cup of coffee,  meet the livestock and join the ever-popular family of HAYLO HORSES..................

Steve and Tricia PhotoOwners and managers of Haylo Farm, Steve and Tricia Angell. Since Steve's retirement in 2001, Steve and Tricia work together every day on the farm.

Celebrating 16 years of marriage in 2009, they have the same passions and beliefs in what it takes to keep Haylo Farm a reputable, respected and nationally known APHA breeding farm. With roots in halter, pleasure, reining, hunters, roping, saddle seat, dressage, speed and cutting the team has developed some tough criteria in what they want in a horse. Their stallions and broodmares depict the overall balance, correctness, soundness, athleticism, bloodlines, and disposition they insist on in their breeding program. With approximately 15 foals per year, Haylo Farm prides themselves on unique color patterns on the body of a square, good-legged, kind-minded, versatile, show quality, registered Paint baby.

Steve and Tricia invite you to stop in for a tour of the livestock and the farm!

twin harpists Camille and Kennerly Diebold of Wheaton, IL
Fall of 2009 brought twin harpists Camille and Kennerly Diebold of Wheaton, IL to Haylo Farm. The girls were making a harp rendition of Johnny Cash's "Ghost Riders In The Sky" and they needed some Longhorn Cattle for a backdrop. It was a fun time for all. The cattle were very cooperative (I think they like harps) and the passers-by during filming were interested, and interesting, to say the least. Several vehicles almost went in the ditch in front of our farm. I guess it's not everyday you see two gorgeous, blonde, identical twin girls playing harps next to a field full of Texas Longhorn cattle in rural Davis, Illinois.

We welcome all inquiries and look forward to hearing from you!
